With the main building located in a barracks on the corner of Prince and Fayette streets, L'Ouverture Hospital had three other branches: the Grace Church, the Baptist Church and Lyceum Hall. All of the branches were closed by April of 1865. The Indexes note: "Prior to August 1864, this Hospl was not exclusively a Hospl for COLORED TROUPS."
Which Baptist Church was used as a branch hospital has yet to be determined, but it is likely it was close to Prince and/or Fayette streets.
